About Luma
Luma is an award-winning and internationally acclaimed Digital Content Creation (DCC) Studio.
We love what we do, and our passion shows in our work.
From our inception in October 2001, we have been producing television commercials for the
local South African market, and have since gone on to produce a variety of digital content for the local and international markets.
Our deliverables have included character animation, photorealistic visual effects, motion graphic design as well as high res print renders for magazine ads and billboards. We have finished visual effects for film and digital high definition, as well as television series. We also have stereoscopic cinema ads currently in screens across the country.
Our game development division has produced high end games for PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad2, Web and the latest mobile platforms.
Our mobile game “The Harvest”, created for Microsoft, is ranked as number 3 in the top 10 best mobile games of 2010 across all platforms.
Our own internally developed animated series “Bun & Bunee” has been sold to Disney XD Latin America, and has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Animated Series Family Category of the KidScreen Awards 2011.
Our awards include the Loeries and PROMAX, and we’ve been featured on Motionographer and the
AdForum Top 5 .
Our clients span the globe from Australia, India, the UK and Europe, all the way to the West Coast of the United States, so we are used to working with various time zones.
